I’ve spent 12 years designing complex software in fintech, policy, security, and healthcare. These days I work on AI tools for advisor platforms.
Most teams already have Claude or ChatGPT approved for daily work. I design products that plug into those tools through MCP, so people get new workflows without another app to learn or another AI tool to get approved.

About Me
I taught myself HTML at 10 to build an *NSYNC fan site. The standards have gone up since.
Now I design AI features and design systems for financial advisor platforms. Before this I was at FiscalNote, Expel, and ViiMed. Different industries, same problem: lots of data, lots of tedious steps, and no room for a wrong answer.
How I think about AI
A lot of my work right now is about how AI should act inside tools advisors use with real clients and real money. I want it to be upfront when it doesn’t know something, show where its answers come from, and leave the decisions to the advisor.
Most of what I’m building carries over to other industries: one hub for the AI tools people already use, with a layer on top for that industry’s compliance and regulation rules.
How I work
AI hasn’t changed my process much. It’s changed how much I get done and how fast I test ideas.
I start with the user stories and dig into the problem until I understand the job users are trying to get done. I’m talking with product and engineering the whole way through, not only at handoff. The best ideas usually come out of those conversations, not the first sketch.
Then I design with Claude Code. I build and test ideas faster and drop the weak ones before anyone writes production code. I write down my own take first, so I’m judging what AI gives me instead of accepting it. Product and engineering see the work early and often, so we sort out together what we ship now and what we save for later.
On new products built from scratch, I bring what I’ve learned from past ones. I’ve seen architecture decisions that can’t be undone without a full rebuild, so I push to get those right early.
What I want next
A Principal or Staff IC role on an AI product, where I help set the direction for how AI shows up across the whole platform. If your team is hiring, let’s talk.
Outside work
I paint and draw, mostly landscapes, still life, and elephants. I also chalk up my driveway and keep a bullet journal.
